The Santa Clarita City Council is considering repealing restrictions Tuesday which currently limit registered sex offenders from living near schools or parks after it was ruled unconstitutional, officials said. Full Article
Oh the arrogance of the city council. “They will consider repealing the restrictions since the court ruled them unconstitutional.” Maybe they will vote on it to see if they really want to follow the laws of the land or not. Well. the city council in San Diego actually voted to NOT follow the rulings of several courts on this same issue, and why they aren’t arrested and in jail for refusing to follow the law I just don’t know. Janice you rock. Soon all of California will real this nonsense. California was once the great way shower of the nation. I believe we will lead the way and stop this persecution of a minority class.

I check this site daily, I guess I’ve become obsessed with RS laws cause I’m going them too. This weekend my wife and I went around Santa Clarita to look at houses, it wasn’t until today that i realized there WAS a residency restriction in place. Glad to hear that City Counsel corrected this stupid decision. Thank you so very much Janice and ACSOL for your hard work and dedication. My family and I will be happy knowing that we have this liberty back.

NONE OF THIS WAS POSSIBLE
without the electronic database accompanied with the unfettered use approved as “civil” the plain indenture of humans to machine FOR LIFE! Hardly the clearest proof would suffice to overcome what congresses stated “was incarcerated for…” IN LAW! INTENT! !!!!
Elites all come out of Harvard – Go figure.
Let the courts suffer their leadership! The people will continue to repent but only long after judicial determination identified abridged and irretrievably forgone right – maybe see MI & WI & NC. This residency restriction is lawlessness in itself disguised as good faith! But the locals merely follow the logic of surveillance saints bent on securing their niche.
Even basic rights to speech are foundationally floated via the DOE decisions. While those decisions were popular among many, the inherent damage to the credibility of the system will also frequent it’s collapse. The people generally understand the current and former administration get away with lots of illegality or marginal activity while in office. Why would a people behave different from there leadership? Why be nice if your leadership is not? Or polite? Cut throat politics based on greed and want for power in the extremes of the two parties. Every person in the middle starved out.

Personally, I wish the CA Supreme Court would hold every one of those council members in contempt of court and fine them daily until their UNCONSTITUTIONAL ORDINANCE is actually repealed.
Still willing to bet that when this matter gets to the floor, the conversation will be geared toward how to make the law constitutional and accomplish the same thing. Not that the ordinance in question (or any registry law/rule for that matter) actually accomplishes anything.
This just in…
